Nicole is a very encouraging trainer, and really seems to read and understand our dog. She has put together a clear plan of action and breaks it down into bite-sized chunks so that we all understand what we are trying to do and why. (us and the dog!)

Fantastic, fun and friendly training for your furbaby. Our cockapoo Oreo attended both ‘puppy school’ and ‘canine college’ classes and loved every minute of it. He’s so well trained now, sitting on command, waiting at the curb on walks, loose lead walking, returning on command. Nicole and her team really know how to get the very best out of your dog. I would highly recommend Paws Off, having participated in the Puppy School and Canine College classes. I took my one year old labradoodle Luchi to Canine College by Paws Off. Our trainer Nicole was amazing, she had lots of advice on specific issues Luchi was struggling with. She’s very friendly and hands-on and shows you how to do things instead of just talking the whole time. She specialises in training by positive reinforcement and that’s exactly what we looking for. She told us when to mark good behaviour and gave us lots of cues to help with training. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I would highly recommend choosing Nicole, if you are thinkin of hosting a TD ScentWork Day. we all had such an informative and fun filled day on our level 1 workshop. Nicole was so encouraging to all handlers, and I have never seen these dogs tails wag quite so enthusiastically before- everyone was definitely happy to be learning new things! Nicole clearly has an in depth knowledge of her subject, with an enthusiastic teaching style that had everyone succeeding in anything she asked of us. We are all very much looking forward to our Level 2 day!

Nicole really knows her profession- she totally understands how puppies think and hence has helped us immensely to know how to handle our gorgeous yet very excitable puppy. She has provided us with great tips on how to keep our puppy happy, calm and obedient. Most importantly she really cares about looking after us all.

Highly recommend Paws off Puppy training, we have completed puppy school and two home visits with Nicole (one face-to-face and one virtual) and all have been amazingly helpful. Nicole has always been knowledgeable about any problem and is willing to go above and beyond to help. Our pup simply loves her training sessions and it’s lovely to see her behaviour improving and her learning new things.

We attended classes with our French Bulldog puppy. Having also attended other classes in the area these were by far the best for us as dog owners as well as for our dog. Nicole was very apt to our dogs needs and personality, giving us simple and easy to follow advice on what we could do as owners as our puppy grew. Nicole also provided private sessions at home which were incredibly insightful and helpful. I would highly recommend Paws off to anyone looking at group classes or private at home sessions.

Highly recommend Paws Off training classes. We have used them twice now, the first time was with Nicole 9 years ago, and we have just graduated with our second Cocker with Hayley. The classes are very helpful and we learned a lot, even though we had trained dogs before. Our new puppy Rosie is very nervous and Hayley was great with her. I attended Nicole’s workshop, Talking Dogs Scentwork 4, with my dog at Farnborough Football Club on Sunday. Nicole is confident in her expertise, generous with her knowledge and kind. We both really enjoyed the day and I will look out for her next workshop.

I attended a Talking Dogs ScentWork workshop held by Nicole which I enjoyed tremendously. Nicole has the knack of putting one at ease as soon as you walk through the door (even if late!) and her manner with both the dogs and their handlers is very kind and gentle. She is very knowledgeable about what she is teaching and is able to transfer her ideas to her clients with ease and dexterity. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with her and know that my dogs did too.

We booked the 5 week home visits for our two new Doberman puppies and already had a nine year old at home. Hayley was brilliant in giving advice on having litter pups as well as making sure our older dog didn’t feel left out. Her practical teaching was excellent and we now have two well behaved”ish” puppies who have settled in to the family well and are a joy to take for a walk. Thank you Hayley!

Really easy to follow with Nicole and her team of assistants being very patient with you. My dog was not the easiest to work with but has come a long way from a stray rescue with no social skills!

After our first session with Nicole, our puppy went from never settling outside the crate to fast asleep by our feet. Her empathy, professionalism, and knowledge are second to none. We can confidently recommend this service. With lots of people out there saying they know how to train a dog and suggesting methods that are detrimental and counterproductive, we were very pleased to be educated on the psychology and actual drivers of a dog’s needs so we can understand how to best approach their training. Both our pups had lots of trauma and fears to overcome, and though they are still work in progress they have come so far from when we first started. House training, fear of water, leashes, car rides, noise and reactivity with people and dogs! We have either completely overcome or are on our way there with the techniques that Nicole has shown us. We have used her help for over a year now and we are happy in the knowledge that we can go back for support as and when the needs of our dogs and family life changes. Highly recommended! We hired Nicole to help my partner and I to give Dexter the best start we could. We had watched so many online videos it all got a but overwhelming. Nicole’s first visit at home put our minds to rest. She is very knowledge and Dexter was very responsive to her. She was always a message away when issues arose and was always quick to respond and provide a solution. We have taken all the training on board and even signed up to her puppy classes which together have really helped us with Dexter. It was definitely money well worth spending. I would have no hesitation recommending her services.

We have been working with Nicole 1-2-1 with our Golden Retriever puppy & British Shorthair cross Bengal cat.
We were looking for help to bond them together, with our cat being an unusual cross, he loved playing with our golden but we needed to manage the roughness and excitement of play.

8 weeks later and they play so gently and lovely together. Our puppy no longer chases our cat and has learnt the boundaries around living together. Not only this, Nicole has also helped us manage some extra frustration training along the way, which has made our puppy experience much more manageable.

I cannot thank Nicole at Paws Off enough for all her help and support with my Rottweiler Sunni and her car travel anxiety issues. I had wondrous visions of getting a dog and on the weekend hitting the open road and going to the beach/camping/hiking holidays.etc and instead from the moment I picked Sunni up she had car sickness which eventually turned in to serious anxiety and complete mental shut down! For months and months I tried everything, long journeys/short journeys, every possible position in the car, calming treatments, literally everything I could think of and nothing worked, it just seemed to make it worse. We had met Nicole during our puppy socialisation classes and I got back in touch with Paws off for some help with the car issues. Instantly, we had support, a structured programme to follow and with lots (and lots) of patience, hardwork and perseverance we are now in the car and managing short journeys. Sunni is now 2 and only just recently has been able to experience different fields and parks close by. Gradually, we’ll start increasing the distance and broadening our horizons but I can’t thank Paws Off enough for making this finally possible!

We became parents to an 8 week old puppy and practically appointed Nicole and Paws Off right away! From the get-go she was great, instantly offering hints and tips for a new puppy and how best to deal with concerns before they became issues! With her help we had a seamless introduction to puppy behaviour and actions, as well as what is expected as an owner! She never deviated off the learning path and bought so much info and help to our sessions! On an upfront cost it may appear expensive, but that one cost can cover a lifetime of concerns caused by behavioural issues, that are so easily captured within the first few months if dealt with! I weighed up how troublesome a bad dog can actually be for life, over a 16 week training course to advise and guide. You get quality training and house visits with Nicole, and a lot of puppy play, and understanding. Whatever the cost, me and my husband considered this training priceless as it has assisted no end with a new pup! I would recommend to anyone with a new dog. There is a lots of content available online, but an actual person being there for you, showing you and guiding you is worth everything. Thank you Nicole for all you have contributed to this lil one’s progress and development!

We have just completed 121 training with Nicole and our cockapoo Mabel. We found our time with Nicole SO useful; we’ve learned so much and seen such an improvement in our pup! We covered many topics with Nicole – scent games, motivation techniques, lead walking, recall, desensitisation and helping Mabel feel comfortable being home alone. Nicole has helped us understand Mabel’s body language and behaviours, we now feel really confident to continue what we’ve learned as Mabel grows and develops.

I would like to thank Nicole Harris from Paws Off for a terrific Level 1 scent training course – the UKSA Stabyhoun loved it! After a tricky year of uncertainty, cancelling and rebooking Nicole helped me organise this Covid safe event for our members and it was well worth the wait!

Step by step she took us through the various stages and benefits of working with our dogs to find catnip or cheese, the results were remarkable and so great to watch. We could really see what our breed’s noses were capable of! We can’t wait to practice at home and will definitely be booking again.

Nicole is a fantastic behaviourist. Understanding, knowledge and clear in her communications and instructions. She really took the time to listen to us and our pup. She has provided invaluable support and we have seen significant improvements with our anxious and high energy working cocker puppy. He is now calmer in general and (on the most part) no longer obsessed over lights and shadows which was our main concern – we can now all enjoy our summer walks! She has helped us to understand him and his body language so we can be better dog parents and less stressed! 100% recommend.

Wow! Amazing . We chose Paws Off after being recommended them. Our dog is learning to become as Assisted Learning Dog in a junior school. Nicole has been coming in weekly to work with Rocky and has been worth very single penny … and some! She is amazing! Makes everything simple, breaks it all down so that you and your dog understand it and Rocky loves her! Highly highly highly recommend 🙂

Nicole has been a fantastic support for us over the last couple of years through both group classes and 121 behaviour sessions. We have attended both puppy classes in person (pre lockdowns) and super pets online and both formats have given us valuable tips and advice to help developing skills like recall and loose lead walking.

I have absolutely loved going to puppy school, and so has my dog. The classes are brilliant, very interactive and we can have a try at everything with the trainer (Hayley, in this instance) there to help, before practicing at home. As a first time dog owner I have learnt so much and so has my puppy – who for a stubborn breed is now quite well trained! The trainers are super responsive to needs, for example, I booked a 1-1 session before classes started to get some advice and it was SO useful. They clearly really care about me and my dog and I’m so grateful for all the support they’ve provided.

I can’t really recommend Paws Off enough. Nicole was lovely to deal with and her training sessions were always helpful and tailored to suit. What made it all even more worthwhile was that she followed every session up with more information and videos to help guide you when practising. Her expertise and knowledge was invaluable and we would definitely use her again.

We have worked with Nicole for nearly 2 years, since our dog was about 10 weeks old. We started with puppy home visits and taking our dog Cassie to ‘puppy school’ and ‘super-pups’ all of which were brilliant helping us socialise and teach her basic manners, plus really helping us negotiate the ‘land shark’ phase of puppy hood. As our dog, Cassie, grew older it became clear she was struggling with sleeping patterns and some handling/grooming tasks, and Nicole worked closely with us and our vet to find the root cause (allergies making Cassie uncomfortable) and putting behaviour plans in place to help us and Cassie manage her behaviours whilst we sort her allergies. Throughout this time Nicole was always on the end of the phone between sessions if we needed any advice, and would regularly check in to see how things were going. Cassie has gone from a ‘tear away’ puppy to a (relatively) chilled, sociable dog who can now happily visit a groomers and often receives comments on how ‘well behaved’ she is. Cassie is still strong willed and cheeky (and we would never want to change that) but Nicole has given us strategies to work with Cassie’s personality to find ways Cassie wants to train. I genuinely can’t recommend Nicole enough!

Our family completed an online puppy training course with Nicole from Paws Off over the lockdown period and it was fantastic! Definitely so worth doing despite having been adapted to be online, plus because of this, Paws Off provided two extra sessions in person once restrictions lessened, free of charge! Our puppy has made heaps of progress thanks to the direction and support from the class and we’re so happy with the service we’ve received. Despite the need to adapt the puppy training for zoom due to Covid, the sessions were still effective and worthwhile. In some ways, without the distraction of other puppies we were able to focus and make great progress. Nicole, our trainer was excellent – enthusiastic and organised and went over and beyond what we expected, never rushing the sessions and always responsive on our WhatsApp group at all times. I would definitely recommend going ahead with zoom while classes in person are not possible to get your puppy trained at a young age, we have seen great improvement in behaviour and the training techniques are really working.

We completed a virtual puppy training course with Nicole over lockdown. The course was excellent and worked well over zoom. The instructions were clear, easy to follow and worked on our puppy! We absolutely loved our training with Nicole, at first I was incredibly sceptical about the training and as it was virtual I was worried about not getting the socialisation we originally booked the training for however it exceeded my expectations and more. My partner and I learnt so much about training a puppy (so much more than what we could learn in a book) and having Nicole there to give us specific guidance for our puppy Codie meant she has come on leaps and bounds and we have specific guidance on how to handle some of her little quirks! We are looking at doing further courses with Paws off and would not hesitate doing a virtual course again!

My experience with ‘Paws Off’ was amazing. The understanding of pet behaviours and how to address them resolved some long standing embedded problems in a matter of a fortnight, with lots of other good habits established along the way. It made such a difference to my life (toilet training particularly) and to my relationship with my dog.

Teddy was really struggling with confidence and terrified of going to the vets. Just being able to get him in the consulting room was hard stressful for both of us. He was starting to get very aggressive at vets appointment. Working with Nicole from paws off helped so much. He still uses the muzzle at the vets and probably always will but now I recognise the signs of Teddy getting stressed or frightened and have the confidence to support him. One happier dog and owner. I was having so many problems with my young spaniel who had had a traumatic experience and was reacting to everything. With some help from Nicole I can now let her play off lead, she is more settled and happy. I was facing the prospect of possibly having to rehome her to a farm away from people but she is different dog. I contacted Paws Off because my already anxious dog was starting to get more possessive of me now that we’re working at home all the time now. It was distressing for both the doggo and my partner, as well as for me. Nicole, the trainer, held a virtual session with us and got us to talk through in a lot of detail about our dog’s past (he’s a rescue) and his routines etc. She not only gave us insightful advice, but got us to try techniques during the session, which we saw had an immediate impact on our dog’s behaviour. We now have some great practical actions to help create a calmer and more predictable environment for our dog, as well as for ourselves. Thank you so much!
