I cannot thank Nicole at Paws Off enough for all her help and support with my Rottweiler Sunni and her car travel anxiety issues. I had wondrous visions of getting a dog and on the weekend hitting the open road and going to the beach/camping/hiking holidays.etc and instead from the moment I picked Sunni up she had car sickness which eventually turned in to serious anxiety and complete mental shut down! For months and months I tried everything, long journeys/short journeys, every possible position in the car, calming treatments, literally everything I could think of and nothing worked, it just seemed to make it worse. We had met Nicole during our puppy socialisation classes and I got back in touch with Paws off for some help with the car issues. Instantly, we had support, a structured programme to follow and with lots (and lots) of patience, hardwork and perseverance we are now in the car and managing short journeys. Sunni is now 2 and only just recently has been able to experience different fields and parks close by. Gradually, we’ll start increasing the distance and broadening our horizons but I can’t thank Paws Off enough for making this finally possible!
We have been working with Nicole 1-2-1 with our Golden Retriever puppy & British Shorthair cross Bengal cat.
We were looking for help to bond them together, with our cat being an unusual cross, he loved playing with our golden but we needed to manage the roughness and excitement of play.
8 weeks later and they play so gently and lovely together. Our puppy no longer chases our cat and has learnt the boundaries around living together. Not only this, Nicole has also helped us manage some extra frustration training along the way, which has made our puppy experience much more manageable.

We hired Nicole to help my partner and I to give Dexter the best start we could. We had watched so many online videos it all got a but overwhelming. Nicole’s first visit at home put our minds to rest. She is very knowledge and Dexter was very responsive to her. She was always a message away when issues arose and was always quick to respond and provide a solution. We have taken all the training on board and even signed up to her puppy classes which together have really helped us with Dexter. It was definitely money well worth spending. I would have no hesitation recommending her services.
We can confidently recommend this service. With lots of people out there saying they know how to train a dog and suggesting methods that are detrimental and counterproductive, we were very pleased to be educated on the psychology and actual drivers of a dog’s needs so we can understand how to best approach their training. Both our pups had lots of trauma and fears to overcome, and though they are still work in progress they have come so far from when we first started. House training, fear of water, leashes, car rides, noise and reactivity with people and dogs! We have either completely overcome or are on our way there with the techniques that Nicole has shown us. We have used her help for over a year now and we are happy in the knowledge that we can go back for support as and when the needs of our dogs and family life changes. Highly recommended! Paws off were brilliant! Hayley was a great teacher and Bonnie loved going to class! She will definitely miss the treat ladies! Couldn’t recommend them more! The team are great!
After our first session with Nicole, our puppy went from never settling outside the crate to fast asleep by our feet. Her empathy, professionalism, and knowledge are second to none. She helped us solve so many challenging problems – from loose lead walking to helping him manage his own behaviour. She made a real difference to our lives with our dog. We’re incredibly grateful!
We have just finished Nicole’s puppy school & canine college. We really, really enjoyed the classes & found them very informative. Nicole and Paws Off have helped us train all our dogs so far, Jessie, Cassie, and now Cassie’s pups Domino and Ridley. The courses are a great way to learn how to teach you pup or older dog… and the pups love it.
