What will my puppy learn in class?
- To be sociable around humans and other puppies
- To play bite toys instead of nipping at hands/feet/jumpers/slippers etc
- To greet people without jumping up
- To walk on lead without pulling
- To gently take food and not snatch treats
- Not to steal or become aggressive around bones and toys
- To be comfortable at the groomers and vets
- To ‘settle’ and relax when asked
- To ‘stay’ when asked
- To ‘come’ when called
- To ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’ when asked

When can we start puppy classes?
From 10 weeks of age
The Puppy School syllabus is designed for young dogs aged 10-20 weeks. Puppies must be under 20 weeks of age at the start of the course.
Early socialisation is vital
There is strong evidence to support the benefits that early socialisation has on puppy development. We are happy for puppies to join our classes before final vaccinations are complete. However, we advise all owners discuss this option with their veterinary practice for further guidance.
